it's on.

who has the high score on ninja ropes?

Don't want anybody to get too worried, but [R] is in the hospital. Apparently, he electrocuted himself at work or something, but anyone who knows him knows that just doesn't seem right. Since when has [R] not checked something twice? Besides, he's, like, a ninja. Anyone at the ceremony a month ago knows that.

Anyway, we're all just glad [A] came back to the office when she did. She was supposed to be on a plane then and everything.

I'll be staying here if anyone needs me.

only the good die young

NYPD reports that the bodies of 10 diners and one NYPD Officer have been found dead at the Tabla Restaurant in the Upper East Side.

Preliminary reports point to first-year Officer Gabriel Mendoza as the perpetrator in an apparently spontaneous mass-murder suicide. NYPD homicide detectives and forensics are on scene presently.

I know I don't live there anymore, but sometimes I like to keep track of what my homies back in New York are doing. It's really nasty to look and find something like this, though. This is not what makes my news homepage happy. I guess we just wait for updates.

Excuse me while I call [C] and everyone I know in the area to make sure they were nowhere near.

motivational speakers

~ From the Sept 22nd Wynn Public Address ~

When I first learned that our wonderful nation had been unknowingly harboring terrorists for such a long time, I felt two things. One? Afraid. Our families and other loved ones could've been in danger at that very moment. And none of us would've been the wiser. And two? I felt like a failure. As many of you know, I was the Secretary of Homeland Security for a bit before stepping directly into the shoes left by former Senator Nathan Petrelli. Well, I can honestly say to you right now, that if I had knew then, what I know now, there wouldn't even be a threat for us to combat. With this threat being brought to the forefront, I felt it necessary to speak to the President, directly, as to the best way to handle it. I will be personally overseeing the ongoing investigation into this threat to national security. And when I say personally, I do mean that I will be on the street, on the front line with the men and women who are working under me. I refuse to sit behind a desk and give orders. That's never been my style and just because I'm a Senator now, does not mean I will sit idly by and let my country be swept out from underneath my feet.

We /will/ get to the bottom of this. We /will/ pursue and neutralize this threat until it has been permanently removed from our beautiful soil. And we will not hesitate to use whatever force is necessary to obtain the secure lifestyle that each and every one of you are entitled to. I will not allow us to be terrorized in our own homes. The President has authorized me to enact a program that will assist me in my endeavors to protect you all. I will play this part to the best of my ability. But I'm going to need your help. If you see or hear or even suspect any suspicious activity, I need you to contact your local authorities immediately. We will chase every serious lead we get until the trail goes cold. We will leave no stones unturned. This is, as of this moment, our top priority. God Bless America.

a funny thing happened on the way to the forum

Recently attended the lovely ceremony of two of my oldest and dearest friends. Old in that I knew them the longest, not that they are the physically oldest people I know. Though the groom is getting up there. I give him two years before the grey takes over and he is left looking aged and distinguished until he opens his mouth and accent-swears or throws something at somebody.

Anyway, it was all very beautiful, and I forever wish [C] and [L] happiness. What would they do without each other? Trip and die, probably. Although...

ANYWAY, I introduced [R] to them that day and I think everything went great because we all expected the monkeys to freak out, but they didn't. [R]'s smooth like that. Also, good with monkeys. Who would've guessed it. Man can't even stand it when I talk about owning two cats. Tsk. Cats are, like, monkeys but better. Well... I would take a monkey. As long as he didn't pull my hair. Yeah, it'd be a 'he'. I'd name him Tiberius. It is decided.

I wonder if [C] still has any of those monkeys left...

Nothing beats the helicopters, though. Seriously, people. Want a cool wedding? Helicopters.

Somehow, I'd never seen a person do something like that before in a flying vehicle.
